Roses Are Red

Daffodils, Tulips, hyacinths are early bloomers to welcome the soon warmer air.  I love when my Irises create an explosion.  Irises are great for the inexperienced gardener because these multiply and can be separated and moved to fill in blank spots in your garden.   Now, I live in South Carolina so timing of seasons are different in other parts of the United States.   
And my Lilies are just as gorgeous.

This year, we had an early heat wave so a lot of my plants are confused.   If you have a normal season to season, you can plant your garden to have color from Spring to Fall.   Unfortunately, my summer flowers are timed wrong and are starting to show the signs of blooms.   Gladiolas and Hydrangea are not far behind my Irises last blooms and my Chrysanthemums are starting to emerge.   Hopefully the mums will continue on until the fall (especially if you deadhead or cut off the spent blooms).

Am I really that old?

I still can't believe that I will be 49 this year.   It just seems that after I had my 2 kids that the years went super fast.  I guess I don't feel that old - well maybe I do when I look in the mirror.
